Ecological Restoration Volunteer Day - Red Reef Park

Red Reef Park - 1400 N Ocean Blvd, Boca Raton

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation for an exciting project with the City of Boca Raton! On Friday, June 7th from 9am to 11am. IRC and our volunteers will be be working together to plant a variety of native plants to the beach dune along Red Reef Park. Please meets us in front of the bathrooms by Tower 9, where the main entrance to the park is, make a left into the park and then use the spaces immediately near the front. We will have a sign in area at the picnic tables there. Groups of volunteers will be instructed how to install our plants into the ground and learn about coastal ecosystems. We will also remove some nonnative plants as well.

There is no experience required! So grab a friend and come out to help us plant a diverse array of native species so we can repair the essential biodiversity of Red Reef Park's beach dune ecosystem. Whether this is your first volunteer event with us or you're a repeat volunteer, we are so excited to have you join the IRC family and see how much fun habitat restoration can be!

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation in this exciting project with Miami Beach Rising Above! On Saturday, June 15th from 9 am to 11 am. IRC and our volunteers will be working together to plant a variety of native plants to the beach dune along Pirate Park. Please meet us at in front of the bathrooms underneath the shade, where you will find our sign in table. Groups of volunteers will be instructed how to install native plants into the ground and learn about coastal ecosystems. We will also remove some nonnative plants as well.

We recommend that you wear comfortable outdoor clothing, you will be in full sun. Wear a hat and sunscreen! Bring a reusable water bottle and anything else that makes you comfortable in the outdoors! We will provide the rest.
