Ecological Restoration Volunteer Event at South Beach Park

Date & Time:

Friday, February 28th from 9:00am - 11:00am

Location:

South Beach Park - 400 N. State Road A1A, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation in this exciting project with the City of Boca Raton! On Friday, February 28th from 9am to 11am. IRC and our volunteers will be working together to plant a variety of native plants at the beach dune along South Beach Park. Please meet us in front of the entrance to the beach near tower 6, make a left into the park, and then use the spaces on the right about a quarter mile down. A map of where to meet will be sent to your email upon registration. We will have a sign in area at the picnic tables there. Groups of volunteers will be instructed on how to install native plants into the ground and learn about coastal ecosystems. We will also remove some nonnative plants as well.

There is no experience required! So grab a friend and come out to help us plant a diverse array of native species so we can repair the essential biodiversity of South Beach Park's beach dune ecosystem. Whether this is your first volunteer, we are so excited to have you join the IRC family and see how much fun habitat restoration can be!

Sign up to volunteer or email our coordinator with additional questions. A confirmation email containing all the event details will be sent to all registered participants on the day prior to the event.

PLEASE BRING WATER BOTTLE, SNACKS, SUNSCREEN, HAT, SUNGLASSES. WEAR CLOSE-TOED SHOES.
