Historia y distribución/History and distribution: A rare endemic vine scattered on the island of Puerto Rico, from low to middle elevations. Major geographic regions following Axelrod (2011): Sierra de Luquillo, Caguas Valley (Caguas), Sierra de Cayey, Eastern Cordillera (Cerro La Peña), Central Cordillera (Guilarte State Forest), Western Cordillera (Maricao State Forest), Northern Limestone Hills. Botanically unique areas following Axelrod (2011): Las Tetas de Cayey.
