Major geographic regions following Axelrod (2011): Sierra de Luquillo, Sierra de Cayey, Eastern Cordillera (La Torrecilla), Central Cordillera, Western Cordillera (Maricao State Forest), Northern Limestone Hills (Río Abajo State Forest). Botanically unique areas following Axelrod (2011): La Torrecilla.
