History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for shrublands and whitelands for the northwestern and central Commonwealth and southern small islands (New Providence, Rose Island, Eleuthera, Cat Island, Cenception Island, Great Exuma, Long Island, Anguilla Cays). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 1144-1147, with illustrations) for a variety of coppices and shrublands nearly throughout the Commonwealth (regions 9-3, 11).
