Synonyms: Eugenia monticola of Acevedo-Rodriguez & Stong, not (Sw.) DC. This is an old error beginning with Dolley, Northrop and Hitchock (see Britton & Millspaugh, p. 303), apparently picked up in the Flora of the West Indies.
