Origen/Origin: Nativo/Native.

Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Un arbusto escandente (trepador), raro, en el este de Puerto Rico en elevaciones bajas. Principales regiones geográficas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Costa Oriental. Áreas botánicamente únicas conforme a Axelrod (2011): ninguna. También en Vieques. Bastante raro; conocido solo del área de Naguabo en bordes de manglares entre la boca del Río Santiago y el Río Antón Ruiz (Acevedo-Rodríguez 2005).

A rare vining shrub in eastern Puerto Rico at low elevations. Major geographic regions following Axelrod (2011): Eastern Coast. Botanically unique areas following Axelrod (2011): none. Also on Vieques. Quite rare; known only from the Naguabo area on the edge of mangroves between the mouth of the Santiago River and the Anton Ruiz River (Acevedo-Rodríguez 2005).
