Presencia/Occurence: Presuntamente extirpado o extinto/Presumed extirpated or extinct.

Origen/Origin: Nativo/Native.

Historia y distribución/History and distribution: A rare shrub collected in Puerto Rico by Agustín Stahl (Acevedo-Rodríguez & Strong 2012). There is also a specimen at the US herbarium online collected in in 1964 by Henri Liogier (10748) from Maricao State Forest, but this could refer to Psychotria hoffmannseggiana. There are no records of this at MAPR (Jeanine Vélez, email comm. 2016).
