Presencia/Occurence: Presuntamente extirpado o extinto/Presumed extirpated or extinct.

Origen/Origin: Nativo/Native.

Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Un bejuco raro en el sur y oeste de Puerto Rico. Aunque citado como común en el sur y oeste de Puerto Rico por Acevedo-Rodríguez (2005), todos los especímenes parecen ser viejos, recolectados entre 1886 y 1902 en Ponce (Heller 6225 US), Coamo (Goll 745 US) y Rincón (Sintenis 5553 US) (Acevedo-Rodríguez 2005, Axelrod 2011). También reportado como recolectado en la Sierra Naguabo por P.E.E. Sintenis en el herbario US en línea. Citada por Axelrod (2011) como un taxón no recolectado recientemente. No hay registros de esta en MAPR (Jeanine Vélez, com. email 2016).

A rare vine in southern and western Puerto Rico. Although cited as common in southern and western Puerto Rico by Acevedo-Rodríguez (2005), all specimens appear to be old, collected between 1886 and 1902 in Ponce (Heller 6225 US), Coamo (Goll 745 US) and Rincón (Sintenis 5553 US) (Acevedo-Rodríguez 2005, Axelrod 2011). Also reported as collected at Sierra Naguabo by P.E.E. Sintenis at the US herbarium online. Listed as a taxon not recently collected in Axelrod (2011). There are no records of this at MAPR (Jeanine Vélez, email comm. 2016).
