Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Orquídea epífita, rara, en el suroeste de Puerto Rico en elevaciones bajas. Principales regiones geográficas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Calizas Costeras del Sur (Bosque Estatal de Guánica), Llanuras Costeras del Suroeste (Cabo Rojo), Cordillera Occidental (Bosque Estatal de Susúa). Áreas botánicamente únicas conforme a Axelrod (2011): ninguna.

A rare epiphytic orchid in southwestern Puerto Rico at low elevations. Major geographical regions following Axelrod (2011): Southern Coastal Limestone (Guánica State Forest), Southwestern Coastal Lowlands (Cabo Rojo), Western Cordillera (Susúa State Forest). Botanically unique areas following Axelrod (2011): none.
