Florida Keys History and Distribution: Reported in 1913 by John Kunkel Small for hammocks and sandy shores in the upper Keys.  Reported for the lower sandy Keys by Davis (1942), but not confirmed there.  We consider this native and extant from the upper Keys to the lower Keys.

Synonmys: T. floridana.
