Florida Keys History and Distribution: Reported in
1913 by John Kunkel Small for low pinelands in the lower Keys. We consider this native and possibly extirpated only on Big Pine Key in the lower Keys. Last reported for Big Pine Key by the Big Pine Key Botanical Society (1987).
