Comments: This is in the early stages of naturalizing in South Florida. Saplings are established in both Miami-Dade County and the Monroe County Keys.

Florida Keys History and Distribution: Not reported for the Florida Keys by John Kunkel Small in 1913. This is just beginning to naturalize on Key Largo. George D. Gann, Janice A. Duquesnel and James G. Duquesnel first observed saplings in the Florida Keys in 2003 at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. An herbarium voucher is needed for the Monroe County Keys.
