Florida Keys History and Distribution: Reported in 1913 by John Kunkel Small for coastal sand dunes, pinelands and low hammocks throughout the Florida Keys.  Apparently very rare and ephemeral in the lower sandy Keys.  We consider this native and extant throughout the Florida Keys.
