South Florida History and Distribution: Not included in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 20022341 USF). Originally determined as
Cuscuta umbellata, which is also known from the Florida Keys. Also collected nearby at the Key Tree Cactus Nature Preserve. Growing only in disturbed mowed uplands, it's native habitat is unknown.
