South Florida History and Distribution: Doubtfully native. Collected once in 1982 by Chuck McCartney as a weed along a roadside in Broward County (
numbered as 2341 FTG, in error). The specimen is labelled as posthumous, but this is an error referring to George N. Avery, who determined the identification, not Chuck McCartney, who passed away in 2020. The number is also from Avery's sequence, not that of McCartney.
