History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh as epiphytic on palmettos (Sabal palmetto) on Andros and New Providence. Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 55-55, with illustrations) as mostly epipyhtic on Sabal palmetto, rarely on logs, in the northwestern and central Commonwealth (regions 10-8, 5).
