History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for moist depressions in pinelands, shrublands and savannas in the northwestern Commonwealth (Grand Bahama, Great Abaco, Andros, Northern Cat Cay and New Providence). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 854) for moist depressions in pinelands, shrublands, savannas and open coppices in the northwestern Commonwealth (regions 10-8).
