History in the Bahamas:
Reported as
T. fasciculata sensu lato both by Britton & Millspaugh (1920) and Correll & Correll (1982), but most plants in the Bahamas appear to be variety
desispica. Perhaps the only plants known from the typical variety were collected on Crooked Island in 1906 (Brace 4704 NY, US as
T. fasciculata var
uncispica).
