Native Range: The West Indies (Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica) and South Florida, where presumed extirpated.

History in the Bahamas: Not listed in Britton & Millspaugh (1920). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 44) for "walls of solution pit about 10 m deep, in high coppice" in the northwestern Commonwealth (region 9).
