History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for disturbed areas and spontaneous after cultivation in the Turks and Caicos Islands (South Caicos, Grand Turk). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 973-975, with illustrations) for saline soils in the Turks and Caicos Islands (region 1).
