Native Range: The West Indies (Bahamas, Cuba) and South Florida.

History in the Bahamas: Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 617-619, with illustrations) for pinelands, coastal dunes, and disturbed areas nearly throughouth the Archipelago (regions 10-3, 1).
