Native Range: Endemic to the West Indies (Bahamas, Cuba, Cayman Islands).

History in the Bahamas: Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 1527-1529, with illustrations) as usually in the vicinity of the coast, on rocks, dunes, beaches, coppices, and sometimes pinelands nearly throughouth the Archipelago (regions 10-8, 6, 4-1).

Comments: There is an illustration in Correll & Correll (1982: 1529).
