Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for borders of brackish marshes and savannas, coppices and pinelands in the northwestern Commonwealth (Grand Bahama, Andros, New Providence). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 1154-1155, with illustrations) for borders of brackish marshes and savannas, rocky and beach areas, coppices and pinelands in the northwestern Commonwealth (regions 10-8).
