History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for sandy soils on Aklin's Island and South Caicos. Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 13) for mud and wet soils of seasonal pools, especially in palmetto (Sabal palmetto) flats in the southeastern Commonwealth (region 3); the only specimen cited is at F, so it is not clear that this was ever observed by the Corrells.

Marsilea mucronata, Marsilea uncinata.
