History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for Smith's Thatch Pond, Inagua. Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 10-13, with illustrations) for periodically flooded palmetto (Sabal palmetto) flats in the southeastern Archipelago (regions 2-1). There are numerous collections from Great Inagua and Grand Turk.
