History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for coppices in the central and southeastern Archipelago (Cat Island, Watling’s Island, Long Island, Acklin’s Island, Stubb’s Cay, Caicos Islands). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 1084-1085) for coppices scattered nearly throughout the Archipelago (regions 10, 7, 5-1).
