History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for coppices and shrublands in the northwestern Commonwealth (Grand Bahama, Abaco, Andros, New Providence). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 860-862, with illustrations) for coppices, pinelands, shrublands and occasionally marshy areas in the northwestern Commonwealth (regions 10-8).
