History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for palmetto lands and coppices in the northwestern Commonwealth (Grand Bahama at Barnett’s Point, Andros near Staniard Creek). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 859-860, with illustrations) for marshy or swampy places and palmetto flats in the northwestern Commonwealth (regions 10-9).
