History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for shrublands and sandy places throughout the Archipelago (Grand Bahama and Abaco to Great Inagua, East Caicos and Grand Turk, and the Aguilla Cays and Water Cay). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 1131-1132, with illustrations) as climbing on shrubs in coppices, pinelands and shrublands, occasionally in open flats, throughout the Archipelago (regions 10-1, 11).
