History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for thickets in the southeastern and southwestern Archipelago (Acklin’s Island, Anguilla Cays). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 477-478, with illustrations) for open coppices in the southeastern and southwestern Archipelago (regions 3-2, 11).
