Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for sinkholes on Grand Bahama at Eight Mile Rocks. Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 534) as escaped from cultivation in sinkholes and disturbed areas in the northwestern and central Commonwealth (regions 10-9, 6).
