History in the Bahamas:
Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for disturbed areas in the northwestern Commonwealth (Great Harbor Cay, New Providence). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 473-474, with illustrations) for disturbed areas in the northwestern and southeastern Archipelago (regions 10-7, 1). Apparently spreading as a weed.
