South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 2002; pp 316-317) based on one extant occurrence in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. An additional population was reported in 2002 by IRC botanist Steve Woodmansee for Danforth Park in Martin County.
