South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 2002; pp 293-294) based on one occurrence in Big Cypress National Preserve in Collier County. Also reported for the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park in 2003 by Russ Clussman, where it is extant (M. Owen, email comm. 2022).
