Comments: In Palm Beach County, apparently collected only once in "Annie" in 1917 (C.V. Piper s.n. US). For an image, visit Grasses of Palm Beach and Martin Counties. This is the sole larval host for the Dusky roadside-skipper (Amblyscirtes alternata), which may be extirpated in South Florida.
