Comments: Prostrate plants historically treated as this in South Florida, or more recently as Galactia volubilis (e.g., Wunderlin & Hansen 2011), are currently treated as G. purshii in the Atlas of Florida Vascular Plants, as Galactia brachypoda in Nesom (2015), and as Galactia michauxii in Franck (2017). It is prostrate, with appressed stem vestiture, realtively large leaflets (terminal leaflet >2/5 cm long) and large flowers, 11–15 mm long.
