South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 550-552) as Trichomanes krausii based on two occurrences in three protected areas (Castellow Hammock Park; Fuchs Hammock Preserve and Meissner Hammock Preserve). This species is still extant at all of these original locations.
