SOUTH FLORIDA Native Status: Native

South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 389-392 ) based on four occurrences in two protected areas (Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park; Long Key State Park) and three non-protected areas (Big Munson Island; North Layton Hammock; Teatable Hammock). It was rediscovered in Everglades National Park in 2003 and reranked as imperiled in 2024.
