South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 2002; pp 351-353) based on one occurrence in two protected areas (Everglades National Park and Frog Pond/L- 31 N Transition Lands). There are no recent records for this species at Frog Pond/L- 31 N Transition Lands, but it still persists in Everglades National Park and was discovered at Lucille Hammock since 2002.
