Comments: Collected once in Miami-Dade County by Donovan S. Correll and H.L. Blomquist in 1936 (NY 6003), "in open dry rocky (limestone) soil near Miami", but also reported for the Miami Rock Ridge by John Kunkel Small in his Flora of Miami (1913, as Andropogon bakeri).
