South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 349-351 ) based on four occurrences in four protected areas (Alice Wainwright Park; John D. MacArthur Park; Sewell Park; Simpson Park). This species has not been reported for any other protected areas since 2002.
