South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 576-577) based three occurrences in two conservation areas (Bahia Honda State Park, Key West National Wildlife Refuge) and one non-conservation area (Key West Golf Course on Stock Island) in the Monroe County Keys. No new occurrences are known.
