South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 323-324) as Tephrosia angustissima var. curtissii based on two occurrences in one protected area (Hollywood North Beach Regional Park) and one non-protected area (Lummus Park on Miami Beach). It has been documented at Haulover Beach Park between Hollywood and Lummus Park, and in the Big Cypress National Park.
