SOUTH FLORIDA Native Status: Native

South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002, p 210), based on a single record at Castellow Hammock Park, where it was discovered by Alan Cressler in 1987, and vouchered that same year by Clifton E. Nauman, Roger L. Hammer, and Cressler (1881 FTG). Only one plant was present. By 2003, the plant had died (J. Possley, email comm. 2023) and there have been no observations since that time.
