A small bird measuring up to 5 inches in length. Blue-grey above and white below, with white eye ring and broad white borders on a long black tail.
Breeds in southern North America and Central America and winters in southern North America, Central America, and the West Indies.
Open, moist woodlands and brushy tickets.
4 or 5 pale blue, brown-spotted eggs are laid in a cup of plant down fastened to a horizontal branch in a tree.
This species feeds exclusively on insects and spiders.
Can be found in South Florida during the winter months. This species resembles a miniature mockingbird.
