Description:
Small butterfly measuring up to 2" in length. The upperside is brown in color with orange at the base and inner margin and white spots on the outer half. The underside is a mottled or smooth violet-gray color. The tip of the forewing is squared.

North America, West Indies, Central America, South America
Habitat(s):
Hammocks, forest clearings and edges, scrub, shrubby disturbed sites, and roadsides.
