General Landscape Uses:
Evergreen groundcover in moist soils.
Availability:
Available at native plant nurseries in central Florida.
Description: Clump-forming wildflower 1-3 feet tall with showy, yellow, daisy-like flowers.
Dimensions: Typically 1-3 feet in height.
Growth Rate: Fast.
Range:
Northern United States from Maine to Minnesota scattered south to Liberty, Gadsden, and Leon counties.

Habitats: Floodplains, swampy woodlands.
Soils: Moist to wet, moderately well-drained to poorly-drained organic or sandy soils, often with acid pH.
Nutritional Requirements: Moderate to high; grows best with some organic content and may languish in nutrient poor soils.
Salt Water Tolerance: Low; does not tolerate long-term flooding by salt or brackish water.
Salt Wind Tolerance: Low; salt wind may burn the leaves.
Drought Tolerance: Moderate to low; requires moist to wet soils, but tolerant of short periods of drought once established.
Light Requirements: Light shade.
Flower Color: Yellow.
Flower Characteristics: Showy.
Flowering Season: Spring.
Fruit: Nutlets with white fluff.
Wildlife and Ecology: Attracts pollinators.
