Ecological Restoration Notes: Small-fruited forms from coastal and southern Florida may be from native germplasm, but repeated introductions from cultivated plants have also occurred and many populations are introduced.

Range: Monroe County Keys north throughout most of the Florida peninsula, but the historical range uncertain due to widespread cultivation.
