Ecological Restoration Notes: A rare herb of scrub and scrubby flatwoods.

Availability: Apparently not cultivated.

Range: Endemic to peninsular Florida.

Habitats: Scrub and scrubby flatwoods.

Wildlife and Ecology: Larval host plant for monarch (Danaus plexippus) and queen (Danaus gilippus berenice) butterflies.

Comments: An excellent butterfly plant.
