Endangered Beach Jacquemontia Field Trip

Date & Time:

Wednesday, May 22 from 9:00am - 11:00am

Location:

Pavilion, A1A and Atlantic Ave - 400 South Ocean Boulevard, Delray Beach

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation for a Field Trip opportunity to learn all about the State-Endangered Beach Jacquemontia at Delray Municipal Beach. Join IRC, Delray Parks and Sustainability Department, along with Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden for a wonderfu opportunity to lear about our restoration efforts to conserve and restore habitat for Beach Jacquemontia. At Delray Municipal Beach there is a thriving population of this specied so we are inviting the public to come out and learn all about the efforts in this multi-agency project. We will have a brief talk and panel showcasing the work that has been on-going. Then we will walk the dunes to see the beautiful flowering plant in action. Then we invite the participants to join us for a second viewing a Jacquemontia population over at Atlantic Dunes Park. We will have limited seating via a shuttle bus. More details TBD.

We hope you will join us for a fun educational event at the beautiful beaches of Delray Beach.

Sign up to come along or email our coordinator with additional questions. A confirmation email containing all the event details will be sent to all registered participants on the day prior to the event.

PLEASE BRING WATER BOTTLE, SNACKS, SUNSCREEN, HAT, SUNGLASSES. WEAR CLOSE-TOED SHOES.
